Still life

While I aim to capture all that Malta is, I also try to find time to paint still lives because they give an artist the best opportunity to discipline their use of colour and control brushstrokes. Looking closely at objects helps you realise their wealth, not only in terms of shape and colour, but how they absorb you as you paint them.
